Excellent book for course. Healthcare law was presented in a way that this reader felt was realistic in terms of marrying ethics, law and how it realistically comes together in an actionable pragmatic way.
The way this book was written seemed like it was meant for a high school student, rather than for a BACHELOR'S program in healthcare as it was intended. The wording and layout felt like something I could have pieced together on my own with no editor or team behind me, I feel like I learned nothing. I also found myself curling my lip at the bias in almost every chapter. My PROFESSOR even apologized for the liberal bias found in this book. I think the court cases were very interesting but they were just shoved in there randomly and seemed to be irrelevant to the topics in that chapter of the text. If you are a teacher, I would recommend trying to find a more fair non-partisan text for your class, because it isn't fair to shove opinions down everyone's throats in the form of "text book facts". Most of the students don't even seem to notice that opinion is sneaked in and passed on as fact in this text, which is what bothered me the MOST about the book. The only pros were the court cases were interesting and the book came to me in GREAT condition even though I got it used.
This book was purchased for a college class. The book had a lot of cases that help relate to the ethical and legal issues. Very informative.
Honestly this text book is just full of news clips and stories illustrating the subject being taught. I was disappointed with this text book. I love some examples of application or real life stories on the subjects I am learning but this text book was too cluttered with them.
This book is required for class so I had to buy it. However there seems to be content missing between pages 260-261. The end of page 260 is the end of a sentence and the beginning of 261 is the middle of a list starting at bullet point number 22?! There are many typos including switching then and than several times.

This book was purchased as a text book for an Ethics class. It was a good book. However the whole thing could be summed up in be professional in all things. Do your best all the time. Respect people, admit honest mistakes and be fair to all. The book is easy to read and as a text book I am always grateful if they are not boring.
The book is extremely dirty and smells funny. I'll have to wear a pair of gloves when using this book. This book was listed as in good condition, but that's deceptive. I'm disappointed.
