Just wow. Bayside Escape is a sexy second chance romance. I love love love Violet in this one. We finally get the full impact on who Violet is. She is not just a touch biker chick. She has all these layers that you didn't see coming. Watching her blossom and show all the sides of her when Andre is back in the picture is so beautiful. I love that she is still the same say anything that comes to mind too. She doesn't hold back and you feel the weight being lifted off of her once she comes clean to everyone. Andre is the only one that can handle all that is Violet. You feel the love between them from the very start. I love how he fights for her and yet doesn't push her too much. Andre is someone you will fall in love with. I know I've said this before but I'm so in love with this series. It's hot, sexy and a hint of sweetness that I just love. Melissa Foster does a fabulous job with making you feel like you are apart of the Bayside family. I'm dying for more Bayside Summers. I love this book and series.
4.5 starsI've been looking forward to Violet's book for a while, which is interesting because Violet kind of annoyed me in the previous books. I'm usually interested in seeing books written from the perspective of characters that annoy me. I always hope that there's some underlining reason for their behavior and that they acknowledge their actions in the previous books.Well, I certainly became a fan of Violet. She has a vulnerable side to her, which was great to see. She went through a rough childhood, which she still has a lot of issues from in the present day. (And I really wanted to smack her mother, lol) And despite how snarky she is with her sister, she deeply values their relationship and wants to stay close with her.I also loved her relationship with Andre. I loved how all in he was and how he just took Violet as she was and didn't try to change her. And I like that despite their differences, they were able to find a happy median.Despite this being the fourth book in the Bayside Summers series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone. I say that mainly because there is a link to a character list provided in the book, which helps keep track of all of the supporting characters. However, Melissa Foster does such a good job of identifying the characters in the book that I only needed to check the list twice while reading.All in all, a great book.
OMG...Vi's love story is EPIC!! From the first chapter I was turning pages like a woman on a mission to find out more about one of my favorite Bayside characters, Violet Vancroft. Vi is the no-filter badass of the Bayside crew, working her charms to help her sister and friends find love, but never allowing herself to find the happiness she lost two years ago. I loved getting to see beneath the layers of Vi, and there are MANY, and I simply ADORED her hero, Andre Shaw. He was everything she needed and all the things she didn't think she needed and EVERYTHING she deserved in a man. He was incredible. Foster always amazes me with her ability to take characters that have been hurt, or kicked down by life, and have them crawling back with determination. She never gives up on them, and I will NEVER give up on her as an author. Buy it, love it, devour it, read it again and then go back to the beginning and re-read the series again! I cannot wait for Gavin and Harper's story and I AM DYYYYYIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG for Justin's story! Give me, give me that Wicked man!
From the minute Lizza shows up with Andre, you know it’s going to be a roller coaster of a ride. I loved that Violet had so many dimensions to her that it made you fall in love with her even more. The history between Violet and Andre was interesting as well and I loved learning more about the two of them. I love that we’re getting so many crossovers from Melissa Foster’s books. And of course, checking in with everyone was a joy, as well as meeting some new friends. Great book from beginning to end. I would definitely give this more than 5 stars if I could. My favorite quote from the book is; “I finally know the true meaning of home. It isn’t about whether I spent my childhood there or how many years I’ve lived somewhere. It’s a feeling of safety and unconditional love, and as long as you’re by my side, I’m always home.â€

Two years ago when her mother tricked her into coming to the cape, Violet found the opportunity to have the family that she always wanted, but at a price.Andre fell madly in love with Violet and proposed. The next morning, she had disappeared. When Andre is invited to spend a month at the cape, little did he know that the Inn, that he would be staying at, belonged to Violet?Can they take up where they left off? Can Violet leave the family that she has made? This is a must read.
