Andy Stanley, like his father, Charles Stanley, carries on a tradition of excellence in ministry. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and the founding pastor of North Point Community Church, Andy serves as keynote speaker for the Big Stuf Student Camps in Panama City, Florida, each summer. Covering topics from Faith and wisdom to Sex and Friendships this books tackles tough issues that teens, parents and their youth pastors wrestle with. I highly recommend it and encourage every youth ministry to spend time on each of the checkpoints mentioned in the book. Then Repeat. Knowing what I know now I wish this stuff was taught to me when I was a kid.
Great techniques are given to introduce new youth leaders to building a good youth program or help seasoned youth leaders gain some fresh insight.
As a SS teacher I thought I would read this since the youth directors at my church recommended it. I found it more than useful, I loved what it taught so much I had my wife read it. Really is a great book for everyone, not just youth leaders.
