I think I expected much more from this book. It seemed to be somewhat repetitive, as if the author was trying to extend the pages. There was some information that I was not aware of but I really wanted to know the sources. I think this book may have been slightly rushed (coming out a month after her death) so that seemed a little 'dicey' to me. There were some 'OMG' moments; if the book is true and the things did happen as the author says; Mr. & Mrs. Brown were really, what we say in the city, some 'CRACKHEADS.' It sounds harsh but 'it is what it is' and the 'truth is the truth' if you believe in this books words.
Whitney Houston's story is a familiar one: rise to fame, become America's sweetheart, and then fall from grace in spectacular fashion. It's a story almost as old as the Bible. And it's becoming an ever more familiar Hollywood story. From Marilyn Monroe to Lindsay Lohan, we've seen the themes of this story in newspapers and tabloid rags for decades. It is not without it's flaws though. Frequent typos, missing words, and spelling errors frequent the text. But they can be overlooked thanks to the detailed outline of Whitney's life. I would recommend this book to any fan of Whitney's music and films as well as those who are simply curious about what led to her tragic death at 48.
I really enjoyed this book, it told a real story about this wonderfully talented woman that left us way to soon. I really believe that Whitney had a lot more talent left in her but needed guidance from the people that supposedly loved her to help her achieve it. I miss her talent and her beauty and hope she is finally at peace.
Nothing really earth shattering or new revealed in this book. However, I found I couldn't stop reading it. Houston is a very interesting topic. Her life was special.

Mostly based on sources such as Star, National Enquirer, People and TMZ, not the best book but it does keep your interest. Recommended.
Just more information about Whitney from a different point of view. Her tragic downfall should not be emphasized so much!
