I highly recommend this book for any Junior or Senior and their parents. The layout could be better, but the information is invaluable.
Very Resourceful book. This book has a wide variety of scholarships to meet you at every stage of your educational level. Whether you are fresh out of high school, or going back, it's here. They even have scholarships you can apply for as early as middle school. I love how the beginning of the book list scholarship tools and information and the importance of applying for scholarships. I definitely recommend this book.
Although this book does contain hundreds of scholarships, we have found that many of them are out of date. So far more than half of the ones we have marked that are of interest to us are no longer accepting applications. Some are even two years old and appear to not offer the scholarship anymore. Others we have found sketchy in that you must sign up for a "sweepstakes" and there are no past winners listed on the website. Overall, I'm disappointed with this purchase.
A number of the scholarships referenced are already out of date, and it's supposed to be for 2017. Would not recommend.
I ordered this book in hopes of earning college money! It would be great except for the fact that everything I've tried to look up so far is inaccurate! Some of these scholarships ended in 2013 or 2014 and the dates in the book are way off, it's caused me to miss a lot of advantages. Just so extremely inaccurate.
Huge book with great tips. However, my average white son with married parents that have jobs didn't get any scholarships. We'll pass it on to his HS library and perhaps another kid will.
This was incredibly helpful because all the scholarships are right there in the book. I only wish the categories were a bit different
I am shocked if anyone not in the military, not above a 3.25 GPA, not female, and not still in high school finds or even obtains one single scholarship from using this book. I cannot begin to tell you the number of countless hours spent marking through the book, getting the code, going to the website and inserting the code so you can go to another website and apply for something you will never hear back from but get peppered with ads & texts. There HAS to be a better, easier way for people to find and obtain scholarships. This book's process makes applying for Government Grants with your hands tied behind your back seem like a walk in the park.
The scholarships were very good the only thing that I din't like was that most scholarships you could only do senior year, so juniors just keep that in mind but the ones I did get were amazing! I really liked it
