Clueless George is a wonderful parody on several levels. Of course, it parodies the Curious George books, as well as George Bush, Dick Cheney and others. It does this with a well written little story and wonderful drawings. George and The Man (Dick Cheney) are up to their old tricks again, this time spying on people with the MSA (Monkey Spy Agency).The second book of the series, "Clueless George Is Watching YOU" is a humorous look at how the Bush administration's spying on individuals has mushroomed and how it was hidden from the public. The drawings are detailed and need to be viewed several times before their full impact will hit.This is the longest of the books. Although I think was great, don't read this if you are a Bush fan. If, however, you are a reasonable human with a funny bone, then these little books are a must. They are a little expensive for what you get, so I would recommend either getting it either used, from a library (as if that is likely) or by buying the three book set on sale here on Amazon.

It does this with a well written little story and wonderful drawings. In this edition, Clueless George holds a party and invites a "liberal" over for some fun. He even has Karl the Klown show up in this edition!The third book of the series, "Clueless George Takes on LIBERALS!" is a humorous treatment of the Bush administration's view on liberals and others who do not tow the party line. The drawings are detailed and need to be viewed several times before their full impact will hit.This is the second longest of the books, and it has the most detailed of the plots. Although I think was great, don't read this if you are a Bush fan. If, however, you are a reasonable human with a funny bone, then these little books are a must. They are a little expensive for what you get, so I would recommend either getting it either used, from a library (as if that is likely) or by buying the three book set on sale here on Amazon.

Although I think was great, don't read this if you are a Bush fan. If, however, you are a reasonable human with a funny bone, then these little books are a must. They are a little expensive for what you get, so I would recommend either getting it either used, from a library (as if that is likely) or by buying the three book set on sale here on Amazon.
My son gave me this little book right after I moved to Utah. I gave it to my mother last month when she was getting ready to move here. If you have a sense of humor and live in or are about to visit Utah, this is for you.Pat Bagley is the political cartoonist for the Salt Lake Tribune, the less-Mormon of the two dailies in Salt Lake. He totally understands what makes Utah unique and points out and illustrates those things in a humorous way, that should not be TOO offensive, even to the natives, Mormon and otherwise. He clearly loves Utah, in spite of itself.
I can usually count on Pat Bagley to deliver an entertaining and insightful look at Utah and Utahns, and this book indeed delivers with its hilarious drawings and text. Bagley pokes fun at us, but not in a mean-spirited way; a lot like the best efforts of Mel Brooks. I gave a couple of the books as gifts, and both were huge hits with the recipients. I guess if you are among the whiners who often write into the Tribune to complain about Bagley, this book probably isn't for you -everyone else will love it.
If you are new to Utah, then you must read this book. It is short comical and entertaining. It is also very factually accurate. We share this book with all of our visitors. Like having a local give you a back-door tour of Utah and what makes it tick.
OH! I cannot stop laughing, but maybe I should be crying? This is a wonderful comment on our Prez and his master, "The Man." A group of us read it aloud until we were all gasping with laughter and unable to speak. Then we fought over it to finish reading it to ourselves.
This light-hearted book can really tell the truth in a great way. It should be required bedtime reading for people of all ages to keep reminding us how gullible and easily manipulated people can be.
