My son and I enjoyed this book, and the reading level was right. But parents with younger or more sensitive kids should know that some of the descriptions in the book are excessively graphic and even fairly disturbing. They get into the details of how certain events kill people, and I found myself skipping a number of sentences to spare both myself and my son of something we don't really want to be thinking about.Aside from that, the illustrations are generous (and not very upsetting), and the stories are well picked. Note that most of the events are not earthquakes. Events include avalanches, fires and volcanoes as well.
Teaches your child - but it is fun! They will know where avalanches happened😀! I said" wow!" As I said "awesome!"😀ðŸ˜Reviewed by Kiara, age 7.

DK Readers: Volcanoes and Other Natural Disasters (Level 4: Proficient Readers)With my boy you can't go wrong with any volcano book. He also enjoys the Other Natural Disasters as well.The information is understandable and doesn't talk down to a bright child.
Great books encourages kids to read in one setting and covers great topics. My daughter lives it and looks forward to reading now.
After reading the book, i would like to state that it is usefull for students who would like to have information and teachers who would like to give information on the issue. Good design with adequate pictures.
My son seemed to enjoy this book. I thought it was a little short for the price. I don't thiink I would purchase another if there is a series.
